Empowering Youth Through Training
The ‘Reben Kuning’ project serves as a second chance initiative for young inmates in prisons and Henry Gurney Schools, offering skill development and career opportunities. Minister Yeoh highlighted the completion of the Golf Sports Massage Therapy Course and Basic Golf Caddy Operations Course by 20 prospective young women from Kajang Women’s Prison, in collaboration with Akademi Kemahiran Belia Golf.
Expanding Leisure And Skill Programs
KBS plans to extend the Rakan Muda programme across all prisons, engaging young inmates in leisure and skill-building activities such as Rakan Mahir, Rakan Aktif, and Rakan Prihatin.
Inclusive Leadership Development
Minister Yeoh emphasized that KBS’s new direction in youth leadership courses aims to benefit a broader spectrum of youths, ensuring inclusivity beyond the top 10 percent.
